In 1914, Strawinsky achieves a coup
with his radical simplification of the
Western European musical language:
LE SACRE DU PRINTEMPS.

It is scored for large orchestra,
and was issued, at first, for piano
four-hands. But Strawinsky is also
known to have executed the work
as a piano solo, in the company of
Monteux and Diaghilev two years
earlier. Here is my attempt to
reconstruct how that demonstration
might have been heard.
